There are many therapeutic benefits to walk and talk sessions:
Movement/exercise
Fresh air
Some people find it easier to open up and talk about problems
Children and teens often talk more and feel more comfortable than sitting still for long periods of time
Movement can help process feelings and thoughts

These services can be combined. Walk and talk sessions can not be scheduled on a weekly basis, but will be scheduled intermittently. You may choose to engage in in person sessions, teletherapy, but have the option to include walk and talk. Walk and talk will be discussed and scheduled ahead of time. Walk and talk sessions may be cancelled due to weather, illness, or other reasons, in which case the session will then be conducted via teletherapy. There is a separate consent form that will need to be signed prior to walk and talk sessions. We will walk as slowly or quickly as you like; some people even prefer to jog/run (I have run half marathons/marathons, so I have to problem with running, if you wish; these will be planned ahead of time); please note that I am not an exercise coach or running coach, I will only be practicing within the scope of my professional license. We can even sit on a bench, if you prefer. Walk and talks can be done in most weather providing you dress and plan accordingly; however, some people may prefer to not utilize walk and talk during certain seasons for their own reasons, in these cases sessions will be via teletherapy or in office.
